32/183 — Puerto de Gijón, Banco Las Amosucas — mark on the shoal replaced
The aid to navigation marking the Banco Las Amosucas shoal in the approaches to Puerto de Gijón, in the Bay of Biscay, has been replaced with a mark of a different type carrying the same yellow and black colouring, and the light and fog signal list has been corrected accordingly. Masters approaching Gijón should update their chart and light list annotations before passing close to the bank.

Argentina approves accession to the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks
Argentina's Congress has approved the country's accession to the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks, but the convention will not apply to Argentina until the government formally deposits the accession with the International Maritime Organization — a step that has not yet been taken. Owners and managers whose vessels call in Argentina should note that wreck removal insurance certificate requirements will follow once the accession is deposited, and should watch for confirmation of the date it takes effect.
